In-House Representative – Charity Care

Duties and Responsibilities:
Pull files; organize and separate new referrals for copying; enter new referrals into Charity Care database; setup appointments with patients for Field Representatives; prepare and mail packages to out of state residents; send letters and make phone calls on all new referrals; work out patient accounts; change financial classes; update account activity in hospital systems; verify eligibility for Medicaid, MVA, and other third party insurance; fax authorization requests to companies for patient income verification; make copies of Charity Care applications and submit to client; locate additional patient information from hospital system for Field Representatives; place follow-up calls to patients for Field Representatives awaiting information for completion of application; other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
Bilingual-Spanish preferred; excellent customer service skills; proficient in Charity Care and Medicaid regulations a plus; computer literate (MS Word, MS Excel) and ability to learn hospital systems; flexible; High School Diploma or equivalent.

 

In-House Representative – Medicaid

Duties and Responsibilities:
Organize and separate new referrals accordingly; screen patients for all entitlement programs with ARMDS self-pay assessment; submit non-Medicaid referrals to the Charity Care department; enter new referrals into Medicaid database; setup appointments and submit documents for patients to Board of Social Service Agencies, Outstation Workers, or Social Security Administration; carryout letter series and telephone calls for follow-up; process accounts through Medicaid eligibility systems; follow-up for Medicaid numbers with Board of Social Service Agencies, SSA, etc.; change financial classes as needed (site specific); submit weekly and monthly numbers to Medicaid and Site Managers; complete all Medicaid eligibility SSI/SSD applications; copy and submit Medical records to SSA; fax authorization request for patient follow-up; verify insurance eligibility; prepare and submit Medicaid meeting minutes to management; prepare invoice reports for management; execute daily Medicaid eligibility batch transaction files; other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
Bilingual-Spanish preferred; excellent customer service skills; proficient in Medicaid and Charity Care regulations a plus; computer literate (MS Word, MS Excel) and ability to learn hospital systems; flexible; High School Diploma or equivalent; 1 year minimum social work or customer service experience.

 

Field Representative

Duties and Responsibilities:
Contact patients referred by the client hospital via letter, telephone, and/or field visit as directed by the manager; secure and gather all documents necessary for the completion of the Charity Care or Medicaid application; make appointments for patient home visits; conduct investigative work, such as skip tracing in the field to locate patients; maintain a properly organized portfolio of all client cases; keep records of all visits to patients; report problems and unique circumstances to the immediate supervisor; make necessary preparations for all interviews and visits;  ensure all applications and attestations are written in a neat and professional manner; contact local and state agencies such as Welfare, Unemployment, Disability, and shelters as needed; other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
Bilingual-Spanish preferred; must possess and show proof of a valid driver license and vehicular insurance; must have use of a vehicle for work; excellent customer service skills; computer literate (MS Word,
MS Excel) and ability to learn hospital systems; flexible; High School Diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor’s degree desirable; prior experience in Charity Care or Medicaid programs preferred.

 

Accounts Receivable Representative

Duties and Responsibilities:
Conduct follow-up phone calls on aged accounts; resubmit hard copy or electronic claims that are unpaid, inaccurate, or contain missing data; research and review EOB’s, vouchers, referrals, and authorizations required by insurance companies for payment; recommend accounts for write-off or allowance corrections; bill secondary insurances; note hospital and internal systems; handle incoming and outgoing mail from patients and insurance companies; other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
Bilingual-Spanish a plus; excellent communication, typing, spelling, and research skills; good logical and analytical skills; computer literate (MS Word, MS Excel) and ability to learn hospital systems; flexible; High School Diploma or equivalent; 1 year minimum previous billing experience preferred.

 

Site Manager

Duties and Responsibilities:
Manage all aspects of the Medicaid and/or Charity Care operations at the client hospital(s); train, develop, and supervise all project personnel; liaise between ARMDS and hospital staff; maintain all project records and data; submit progress reports on a timely basis; create and deliver monthly invoices; communicate regularly and efficiently with ARMDS management and the hospital; prepare and submit staff timecards and expenses timely; exhibit thorough knowledge of the Medicaid and Charity Care programs.

Qualifications:
Supervisory experience in the healthcare environment; working knowledge of NJ Charity Care Program, NJ and NY Medicaid Programs; Patient Financial Services background and/or Bachelors Degree preferred; HFMA certification a plus.
