Preparation for the 2011 NJ HFMA Institute
A Free Session for Vendors on Wednesday September 14, 2011, Woodbridge Hilton, 200 Wood Avenue South, Islelin, NJ 08830 and October 12th at the NJ HFMA'S Annual Institute.
Agenda, Registration and Continental Breakfast 8:00am, Session 8:30 - 10:30am.
This session is designed to be an introduction to trade show preparation, on-site management and follow up. It is planned to be an interactive discussion for idea sharing and is timed for preparation for the NJ HFMA Annual Institute although sponsorship of and/or a booth at the Institute is not a prerequisite for attendance. While we welcome experienced sales an marketing individuals who can relate their experiences, the session material is intended for those new to the sales and marketing arena as well as those who have responsibility for sales and marketing but for whom this is not their primary area of expertise or responsibility.

NY HFMA’s Joseph A Levi 52nd Annual Institute Declared a Resounding Success
ARMDS, a Gold Corporate Sponsor of New York’s HFMA Joseph A. Levi 52nd Annual Institute; Healthcare Reform: Step Up, Stay Informed and Move Forward! joined over 300 participants who overflowed four meeting rooms at the La Guardia Marriott Hotel on March 10-11, 2011. The full two day schedule kicked-off with HFMA’s 2010-2011 National Chairman, Deborah Kucha-Craig, speaking on “Step Up”. Keynote speaker, Paul Keckley, Executive Director for Deloitte’s Center for Health Solutions followed Ms. Kucha-Craig’s address and spoke on the “Midterm Election and Health Care Reform – Are You Ready for What’s Next?”
Despite the late hour, Thursdays panel of CFO’s discussing, “Charting their Course in the Wake of Reform” was standing room only with the audience actively engaged in a thought provoking exchange of questions, answers, and opinions. Repeatedly the same themes rang out: healthcare costs would expand, the successful hospital would manage costs while improving quality, better access to healthcare was needed, and that there was a unique opportunity for leaders in the field to improve both quality and patient satisfaction.
Friday morning began with the Disney Institute Presents – “Leading Through Turbulent Times.” While the hour and half was full of anecdotes and amazing Disney stories, the message was not lost on the conference attendees – the key to attaining and maintaining success is the result of purposeful behavior that results in excellence; excellence in leadership that gives and receives respect while holding staff accountable, excellence in communicating one’s core values and operating principles, and a commitment to excellence in guest satisfaction.
John Levay, Auditor for ARMDS, presented a beautifully wrapped package of fine wines to a lucky raffle winner during the Friday morning break.
