The ARMDS Medicaid team is comprised of highly trained staff specializing
in behavioral and mental health Medicaid eligibility and enrollment
processes.
◊ ARMDS initiates applications for agencies on behalf of patients |
◊ Serves as patients’ advocate and assists patients in securing payees where applicable |
◊ Acts as liaison between patients, adjudicators, attorneys, and courts for cases in the hearing level of appeal |
◊ Assists patients in obtaining legal representation with state legal services or other community based attorney services |
◊ Obtains medical records from alternative institutions |
◊ Provides application assistance with local general assistance programs; addressing temporary shelter, housing and food assistance while awaiting SSI application approval |
◊ Accompanies patients to appointments with Social Security Administration and Board of Social Service agencies |
◊ Works with patients from prison rehabilitation programs |
ARMDS simplifies the tedious County, State and Federal application processes. We operate in the capacity of patient advocates in all aspects of financial counseling assistance and pay special attention to recognizing and addressing the sensitive needs of the mental health population.
